All the latest on what I'm loving in the cruelty-free life!
Moo Free Chocolates
Divine. Is the one best word to describe these chocolates. If like me, you are a complete chocoholic, fear not, Moo Free
will be your Sweet Tooth Superhero! Choose from a range of ‘milk' chocolate bars
without the milk. Think delicious, creamy and unstoppable- because once you tried
it, you won’t need to look back into the world of animal-derived chocolates. Be
sure to try their pralines, they are a mouthful of indulgency not to be missed.
I don’t know how I would survive without Moo Free. Their pralines are just
divine and I’m totally in love with their caramelized hazelnut bar.
Worthenshaws Ice Cream
Both vegans and non-vegans can indulge themselves in ice cream. I'm a big fan of Worthenshaws range. A mouthful of indulgence is in every bite (or lick). Made from the heart, it's low-fat, soy and nut-free and made with fruit sugars so it's even a treat for those watching their figure!. It's a guilt-free dessert for everyone. Choose from chocolate (my personal favourite), strawberry and vanilla, all equally delicious, designed straight from the heart from an inspirational mother. Visit the website to read the inspirational story behind these amazing ice creams.
Mock Egg Sandwiches
Truthfully, I was a little gutted I was having to give up eggs. That said, I've pleasantly surprised myself that I haven't missed them. I gave them up willingly, for a good reason. I don't regret it and don't even need to miss it. Not with so many egg substitutes and tofu at hand to mix with flavours and put into a sandwich! In fact, I love it more than eggs because it's lighter and feel so proud to have made up my own "egg" concoction.
Other egg substitutes: ♥ Baking= 1 egg- half banana, Tsbp flax seeds with 1/4 cup 'milk', 1/4 cup applesauce. Often, an egg substitute is not needed, oil and milk work well and it's less messy too! ♥ Cooking= 1 egg- 1/4 cup mashed potatoes, 1/4 cup silken tofu
Provamel
Dairy-free and delicious. I drink both soy and rice milk but prefer rice milk because it has a creamy kind of flavour and lower in fat too. I choose the sweetened milks to satisfy my sweet tooth. Rice milk goes nicely in tea, creamy cocktails or poured over cereal. I'm absolutely loving their dessert range. Again, it's the chocolate one that seems to find it's way into my shopping basket. The caramel one is delicious too. But you can choose from vanilla or cappuccino flavours. Thanks to Provamel, vegans don't need to miss out on creamy pastas (my ultimate favourite meal). Their organic soya cream can be used in cooking or baking. You'd never know this was vegan! It's companies like Provamel that make being vegan easy, delicious and much healthier. Linda McCartney Sausages
Linda McCartney range was invented and designed with compassion by a family of animal lovers dedicating themselves to a cruelty-free life. This range is popular proof that meat is neither needed nor missed in a diet. The sausages really are a great meat substitute for part of a meal, BBQ or for your greasy Sunday fry-up! They are so delicious and convincing, even my dog loves them. They are all the meat substitute without the bad fats or cholesterol. Amongst their vegan-friendly range is red onion and rosemary sausages, a must-try! They even have vegan-friendly sausage rolls, a perfect finger food for your little ones that's healthier too. The whole Linda McCartney range is vegetarian but not all vegan-friendly. Their descriptive website will tell you more about each product and their suitability.
