Barry M Nail Art Since discovering Barry M nail colours, I've been having lots of fun making unique, creative nails. With the wide choice of colours they have, it's easy to put your personality in the designs and mix and match to suit your personality or your current mood.
I use a thin eye-shadow brush for applying the design colours. In fact, because I use the long-stemmed pink eye-shadow brush for my eyes, the brush you get with Barry M trio work just perfectly. If, like many, you have difficulty being creative or don't have a steady enough hand, simply paint each nail a different colour or top with Barry M crackle nail varnish. You'll have an instant fantastic look! I love Barry M nail varnish because it has a nice, even application and tends to dry quickly. As you can see, I've had lots of fun! |

Jewellery Making I absolutely love chunky jewellery (as you've probably seen in my pictures of nail art and chunky rings). My mum attended a jewellery-making class and had made a lovely necklace. We went to the bead shop in town and spent the best part of an hour choosing out beads, there was just so much to choose from! Needless to say, I opted for lots of pink. Mum and I sat with a delicious Saturday afternoon lunch (mock egg sandwiches- made by me of course), a glass of wine and had some lovely mother and daughter time making jewellery.
I made myself a necklace, bracelet and two rings all for under £20! Definitely value for money. Mum made me a lovely pink and silver necklace and one for her friend in green and orange colours. I'll definitely be back to that shop. It's great being able to choose what you want and personalise your jewellery how you want it. Especially because you'll have a one-of-a-kind piece that would probably cost at least twice as much in a shop. |

My Creamy Alcoholic Concoction I absolutely love this. As a vegetarian, I went through about two bottles of Irish Liquor a month. It took much experimenting in concocting the perfect, creamy, delicious replacement but after much hard work, experimenting, tasting and recipe adapting, I managed to satisfy my craving for the non-vegan, more fattening version.
I switch flavours at times, using different liquors and ingredients, with the same basic recipe. Some of these flavours are: ♥ Mint ♥ Chocolate ♥ Almond The flavours can be a case of mix-and-match. For me, this drink is so much fun to make and drink and it's the perfect wind-down drink after a boozy night with the girls. Very popular too, even with my non-vegan buddies! It's actually quite ethical too, I always keep an nice-shaped empty bottle to fill up with my creamy beverage! Delicious! |

Getting Festive! My ultimate favourite time of the year. When it comes into December, my stereo and Youtube playlist is bombarded with Christmas songs that I'm constantly dancing and singing (badly) along to. I always feel the festive season is over too quickly. So this year, I started early! I've already got my Christmas CDs ready to take over my stereo, Youtube playlist with my all-time Festive Faves and engrossed in some Christmas hobbies.
Pictured, you will see that I have managed to veganise egg-based drink Advocaat. I'm very proud of that one, managed to get it right first time and even works with lemonade in just like the non-vegan Snowball drink! Those along with mince pies complete the cosy winter nights in. Both of which have gone down a treat, thankfully. Best of all though, I'm really enjoying Christmas crafts. Each and every single activity is made from my box of craft goodies which is full of boxes, card, paper and ribbons which would otherwise have gone in the bin. How ethically festive am I? Every year, I make my own Christmas cards with glitter and winter pictures of myself and Bonnie. We've been cleverly using jars to make candle holders and will be doing snowglobes too, using toys my friend was getting rid of. She also gave me the thing I'm most excited about. I get a small Christmas tree so can never get an Angel small enough (or pink enough) to fit. My friend's daughter had a mini barbie doll she no longer played with. She's 5 inches long so perfect for making into my pink, glitzy Fairy Angel! I love wrapping presents, in fact, that and the tree itself is my favourite part of Christmas. My presents display is such a simple activity and looks great. Pink and gold is my tree colours this year, but you will see I even managed to find a place for my two glitzy ballet dancers a happy home among these festive gifts. |
