A Picture Says A Thousand Words

This is what animals are going through every day for cosmetics, household products, washing liquid and even for toothpaste of razors. These aren't even the worst ones. Shockingly, even products like bleach are put into the eyes of rabbits! If that isn't bad enough, some countries still use dogs and cats for product experiments. Although animal testing is illegal in the UK, it is not illegal to send ingredients over to other countries to be tested on, or purchase ingredients which have been. In animal testing labs, horrific, cruel and needless tests are conducted daily to these animals who may never as much see the light of day or live freely with their families in natural habitats. They repeatedly have their skin burnt wiht harsh chemicals, soemtimes so bad that their fur falls off and skin thins out. Animals have their throats cut out so that they cannot express pain inflicted upon them by the lab workers. Sometimes these tests are so painful and harsh that they bleed from every orifice in their body, some even die during tests. Furthermore, animals are not even given any pain medication because this could change the results of the tests. According to an article I read some time ago, scientists have said that no more is being gained from animal testing. In support of this, animals often react differently to humans to certian ingredients or chemicals. Look out for these logos for cruelty-free products: |
